Do you know someone who deserves to be on the list of ACT Award recipients? A veritable “Who’s Who” among theatre folk across the state. Nominees do not need to be ACT members. Nominate that outstanding theatre person today!
2010 Nominations are due by April 31, 2010.
ACT is accepting nominations for 2010 in the following categories:
- Elementary Level Theatre Educator of the Year
- Middle Level Theatre Educator of the Year
- Senior High Theatre Educator of the Year
- Higher Education Theatre Educator of the Year
• Colorado Theatre Educator of the Year (Knaub Award) - reserved for a teacher that has dedicated 20 years or more to the profession of theatre educator.
• Community/Professional Theatre Award - Nominate a theatre in Colorado that has supported theatre education through their programs, festivals, classes, policies, practices etc.
• Distinguished Service Award (Within the profession) - This category is for a person within the profession of education. Perhaps a supportive administrator, or a fellow teacher that assists with the theatre program at your school in some way.
• Distinguished Service Award (Theatre Advocate - Outside the profession) Please consider an organization or individual that supports theatre and theatre education in the state of Colorado but is not directly employed by an institution of education. Past recipients include the Kennedy Center Imagination Celebration, business owners, newspaper columnists, and theatre enthusiasts.
